Biography:

My name is David Schofield and I am the prospective Parliamentary candidate for Reform UK in the newly created constituency of Southgate and Wood Green.

I have deep roots in The Borough of Enfield, where I have lived all my life attending local schools and serving as a Local Councillor representing Southgate Green which included New Southgate. During this time, I worked with the Local Council, Police and residents to tackle crime and anti social behaviour problems including on Council housing estates where I helped secure investment for CCTV cameras and ensured regular police patrols.

We have seen in recent times a trend for Police to spend disproportionate amounts of time policing thought on the internet at the expense mostly of attending and investigating the serious and distressing crimes of burglary and retail crime that have taken place. I will properly hold the Police to account for this.

I have a successful background in sales and marketing, helping to grow SMS businesses across a range of sectors including disability aids and industrial training / education services.

I will be a strong voice for measures to encourage firms to invest across the constituency and for existing firms to flourish thus boosting employment. We must therefore invest in local people by updating their skills and reduce business taxes.

The country is in need of positive and practical change which is not on offer from all the main political parties.  Reform UK is the only party that will effectively control our borders, protecting our security and infrastructure, implement health reform ensuring prompt, high quality treatment and bring down taxes for working people in sustainable way through eliminating billions of pounds of wasteful expenditure.
