Biography:

I am Paul Barrett and am pleased to be selected for Reform UK, as its Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Romsey and Southampton North.

I live in Totton, with my wife and children. I have strong ties with the community. After serving my country in the Parachute Regiment until 1998 I worked as a Technical Manager on a Global basis. Seven years ago, I moved my family back to the UK. I feel strongly about his community Romsey and Southampton North– Largely, a rural agricultural with several small prosperous market towns. And can boast, some of the best trout and salmon rivers in Europe.

I’m appalled Romsey is among the top ten most dangerous small towns, in Hampshire. Romsey and Southampton North rivers were polluted 699 times in 2023. Note, that monitoring was disabled in some areas – so it could be more. Our farming community faces challenges with an ever-increasing population, irrigation, recruiting young people, rural crime, and ever-increasing energy costs. Our veterans are amongst the least looked after in our society often putting illegal migrants first.

I am pleased to stand for Reform UK and be allowed to stand for what I believe in. Reform UK is; the only party, the only party that would put the ‘’Great’’ back into Great Britain.

I will push for tighter controls on sewage dumps, Southern Water must be held accountable. Work with Hampshire Constabulary to tackle crime and abolish wokeness plaguing the force. Sign up for the Veterans Covenant to support those who served our great country. And support our agricultural community – no farming no food.

Paul said the Government's moral obligation to its citizens is to keep its citizens safe. And protect its borders. Only Reform UK has this firmly on its mandate and part of its contract.

• Freeze all Non-Essential Migration – Only essential skills that would benefit our economy.
• Reform UK will introduce a credible tax by lifting the income tax point to £20k. A key incentive to get young people into work, and attract people into farming.
• Common sense Policing not woke Policing with more bobbies on the beat and less paperwork enabling the Police to tackle crime in our towns and rural communities. This will help tackle rural burglary, theft of farm machinery, fly-tipping, and violent crime.
• Scrap Net Zero quangos and provide cheaper energy for All and help drive industry and agriculture.
