Nigel Farage: “This is a battle for our civilisation”

By Reform Daily Team
Nigel Farage has warned that the border crisis is “a battle for the future of our civilisation", after almost 50,000 illegal immigrants broke into Spain yesterday. They charged across the border into the Spanish territory of Cueta, North Africa - and thus into the European Union.

Responding to the shocking video scenes of hordes of young men breaking into Spain, with the authorities apparently powerless to stop them, the Reform UK leader said, “It is time to wake up, everybody,” before the invading army starts “heading towards Calais and coming to our country, too.”

Spain’s Socialist government recently granted an amnesty to half a million illegal immigrants, giving legal status to undocumented migrants. “The message from Spain is clear,” said Farage, “Come in and you’ll be allowed to stay”.

Spain’s surrender of its national sovereignty makes it little wonder that so many more immigrants feel free to cross its border. And little wonder that other EU nations such as Italy are worried about the prospect of them spreading across Europe.

Farage linked this crisis to his long campaign for Brexit and securing Britain’s borders. “Some of you might remember a  poster I put out 10 years ago called ‘Breaking Point’, which showed vast numbers illegally breaking into the European Union. I said that if we voted for Brexit, we’d have the power to stop those people coming here.

“Sadly the Tories failed us, and Labour has failed us. Believe me, unless we get a Reform government, many of those young men, lots of them dangerous, will be heading towards Calais and coming to our country, too.”

“It is time to wake up,” the Reform UK leader emphasised. “This is a battle for the future of our civilisation. I can’t put it any more plainly than that.”
