Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has condemned Britain’s border failures after a small-boat migrant was jailed for life this week for attempting a terrorist attack at the Israeli embassy.
“It’s a disaster that the UK has allowed in illegal immigrants that are terrorists,” Farage said.
“And we have case after case after case. And it’s terrifying.”
Abdullah Sabah Albadri, a 34-year-old Kuwaiti national, was sentenced at the Old Bailey on this Monday to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 20 years.
He arrived in Britain by small boat from France on 12 April 2025. Just 16 days later, he travelled to the Israeli embassy in Kensington armed with two knives and attempted to climb its perimeter fence.
Armed diplomatic protection officers intervened within seconds, pulling him down before he could enter the grounds. Police body-camera footage recorded him saying he had “weapons” and wanted to “make a crime” inside the embassy.
Investigators found that Albadri intended to attack the embassy in revenge for Israel’s actions in Gaza. He had researched its location and searched online for Arabic terms relating to suicide and martyrdom. He also carried a “martyrdom note”.
The sentencing judge said he could have killed embassy staff had officers not stopped him.
Albadri had previously entered Britain by small boat in 2021 before apparently leaving and returning in 2025.
Under a Reform government, Albadri and dangerous individuals like him would never have reached Britain in the first place. Through Operation Fortress, Reform UK will stop the boats, return those crossing the Channel to France, and detain and deport all illegal immigrants already in the country. Only Reform has the courage and the will to secure our borders and put the safety of the British people first.
