Biography:
My aim is to be the best advocate for Mid-Wales the region can see in their Member of Parliament. For too long, this seat has been represented by careerists with more interest in their own progression rather than improving this forgotten corner of Wales and the UK. Powys has a mere six miles of dual carriageway; the delays and disruption on the Cambrian Railway are notorious.
Our primary and secondary schools are falling apart; we can only dream of having our own General Hospital in Newtown. The Reform Party means exactly what our name would imply; no less than a total re-set of Britain's institutions so that they deliver properly for citizens, no excuses and no lying.
The Post Office scandal - which should bring shame on every Labour and Con. Party Government since 1990 - shows just how big the task is. If elected, my first aim would be to 'bang heads together' to upgrade the main trunk roads connecting Wrexham and Newtown to Shrewsbury; then lobby for upgrades to our schools and hospitals from Cardiff.
In the UK Parliament I along with all of my Reform Party colleagues will be pressing for rapid change in the institutions of the political state - beginning with abolition of the House of Lords, and reforms to the civil service to ensure the primary duty of government is to its citizens, not to spin or to apathy or to greed.
