Biography:
My journey began in Cambridge, but my passion for education took root in Birmingham where I earned a degree in Youth and Community Studies and PE. This opened doors to teaching and youth work. My career started in the Hereford and Worcester Youth Service, where I honed my skills in both Hereford and Redditch. Staffordshire became my next chapter, bringing marriage, children, and a move to Cuddington in 1999, where we happily remain today. My two children are now independent, and I'm blessed with two granddaughters.
Since 2006, I've run my own education consultancy. With the Apprenticeship Levy, I've focused on helping training providers excel. Currently, I'm Director of Apprenticeships at D&A Training, overseeing both Construction Plant Operative apprenticeships and the innovative Youth Work apprenticeships at Liverpool Football Club.
Beyond qualifications, I possess a deep understanding of Apprenticeship reforms, accountability frameworks, and the Ofsted inspection process. My national influence extends to youth work development, where I served as an External Quality Assurer for various programs.
Community service is another pillar of my life. I'm a Director for InSide-2-Out CIC, supporting Birmingham's homeless population. Additionally, I'm involved with The Hidden Victims of Crime, offering practical aid to families affected by the criminal justice system.
Driven by these experiences, I'm proud to stand as a Reform UK candidate.
